This is driving me insane. In Florida I can find it anywhere, here not so much.

Im not looking for established restaurants where you sit down and order.

I am looking for that side of the road BBQ where it is just the cook, a smoker and ALOT of smoke.

Where in all of this kingdom called Houston can I find something like this?

Look on Kirby Drive near 59 or I-10 near Campbell for the Goode Co BBQ...I love their BBQ! To each his own. This is a long established BBQ yummy place

I think you all missed my main point. Im not looking for a restaurant. I find the best bbq comes from people that sell out of bbq trailers on the corner street.

Have any of you seen this while driving through the streets of Houston? I think I found one guy in Spring, Tx that is parked in a AutoParts lot selling BBQ.

Other than that have any of you seen similar elsewhere?

Maybe you should change your title to "Where to find guy BBQing on the side of the road in Houston".

And i said that kinda jokingly but it does kinda seem to be the truth when it comes to BBQ, you find pretty places with baked meat and tons of sauce or you can find an ugly hole in the wall with true pit smoke BBQ. I used to know of another place on almeada but it closed unfortunately.

VIRGIE'S BAR-B-QUE - Home

Virgies is a pretty good BBQ joint and has been featured in Texas Monthly as one of the top 50 BBQ spots. Check it out and see what you think, but as the previous post said "look around the uggliest parts of town, like the hood's of third ward or around 225 south in pasadena.". Good Luck and if you really wanna drive look into City Market in Luling, TX or Smitty's BBQ in Lockhart, TX. ENJOY!
