I don't know about you, but I thought Derrick Ward played really well for us last year. Ben Tate needs to stay healthy, because he has a ton of talent. Slaton is still pretty good when used effectively with bubble screens or in the slot. The guy Houston was running with last night (can't spell his last name) was running straight into piles with no vision.

Tate lives about 5 houses down from me.

Just sayin'...

It's good to see the team win after a horrible year last year. It's good to see our defense resemble an actual NFL defense now. That's what most of the excitement is about, not that we won a preseason game. It's just the preseason, but there was a lot to be happy about after the game. If you don't think fans of those teams evaluate their teams after preseason games, then you need to visit their message boards.

My favorite team is the Vikings but I also root for the Texans. I turned down tickets to the game last night. I only like to watch MAYBE the first half of a preseason game. Like mentioned above I wanted to see how some injured guys have recovered, and how some of the draft picks looked. Get an idea of how the new defensive scheme would work. Not a bad evening.

Ronnie

P.S. I'm not a Texans fan, I'm a Lions fan.
I am a life long die hard Chicago Bears fan. The kind who gets depressed for days after a loss to the Packers. I could care less about pre-season. This was reinforced in 1985 when we went 0-4 in pre-season then romped the league and won the Super Bowl.

Pre-season wins and losses mean nothing, only individual player performances within the game have any significance.

How do you think Cullpepper will perform with the 49ers since you are a Vikings fan.

Daunte sucked with the Vikings, Randy Moss made him rich. He's only older, slower and dumber now.

Daunte's stats were good with Vikings though and made the pro bowl 3 times.

I don't really follow football but can someone tell me why Gary Kubiak always wears those sweat shirts in this heat?

On the news it often shows them practicing outdoors.

And if you go to games at Reliant do you wear a sweatshirt in August or September also?
