Just kidding. Don't.

You do have to go to THE RODEO once - - just don't go buy boots and a hat. Really - just don't.
Well, actually my first thing on the list is Museum of Natural Science. I heard such great things about it from lots of people. I am going there on Monday to see for myself.

And yes, you do need two license plates. However I was thinking as well that perhaps my top priority at the moment is to put up my back plate first. I want to ask someone at work if they know how to mount my front plate. I brought some essential tools with me from SC but being a girl I figured I won't need a drill for a while. And apparently I do. :-)

to save who's money? the state is still going to charge us a full ride even they only issue us one plate.

Hate to bust your bubble,
but you are not an official texan until you've gone through a whole summer in Texas.

You will love the Museum. You do know that it's free on Tuesdays after 2 pm, don't you?

Houston Museum of Natural Science

If you enjoy art, try the Houston Museum of Fine Arts too. Thursdays are free.

The King Tut Exhibit is coming in October. That will be a separate fee though.

What car do you have? Some cars have a license plate bracket that is mounted to the bumper to hold the front plate. It might be an easier and cleaner install than just drilling holes in the front bumper.

Oddly enough, I bought a 2010 Ford F150 Harley Edition and ... drum roll ... Ford even admits they didn't design/make a license plate mount for that model. Had to drill holes in the skirt below the grill just to hold it. Wouldn't have ever done it, but got a ticket.

Just sayin'...

A lot of vehicles have very poor/weak front license plate support. I know of several folks who've lost their front plates just in routine driving and parking. So far, no hassles from police.
