I have 2 8 month old Havanese puppies that need to be rehomed. What is the best way to do this? Craigslist? Vet's office?

Maybe look for a Havanese or small dog rescue group or try petfinder...

agree havanese rescue group or the vet. Don't do Craig's list too many unscrupulous people mixed in with the normal ones.

whatever you do don't do craigslist. you can read about the horrific abuses that have happened to animals posted on that site

talk to rescue groups and different vet offices. SPCA, BARC should be your last option

Here's a link to a Havanese Rescue Group:

— Texas Havanese Rescue — ADOPTIONS —*RescueMe.Org

Craigslist, newspaper ads and internet sites (even places like petfinder) often have people pretend to be families wanting a pet when they actually want a dog to use as pit-bull bait or snake food.

I know....I adopted a 6-7 year old doberman who was rescued by the police and the humane society from a yard where he was tied to a stake and being used as pit bull bait. He was so weak from all the oozing, infected bite wounds that he had to be carried to the humane society van. It's believed that he was obtained by the pit-bull ring through a phony family responding to a newspaper ad.
