I'll be spending more this year, but that's mostly by default -- my only child was 2 last year and was more than taken care of by what her grandparents bought her. This year we'll actually buy her something, though it won't be much.

I wasn't saying just church. I was saying PRIORITIES in general. We can go and stand in line for a tv, but can't stand in line to vote. We can buy some Jordans but can't pay the rent. Our priorities are wack.

This is why I have little sympathy for most people. If you're busting your butt at 2 jobs, share 1 car with your family that's at least 10 years old, have no cable or cell phone bills, no video game system, don't eat out or go to movies, do all your shopping at second hand stores and still can't quite get by -- then you have my sympathy. Otherwise, it's time to buck up and get to work.

Jordans are more important than paying rent and feeding children.
