Not just Texas, I lived in a neighborhood like that growing up in Florida (Tampa).

That's part of what I love about cinco Ranch...we have all that stuff, PLUS my own street organizes our own events for holidays and such separately. It's really great.

I've lived in Central Houston all my life (with the except of college and an 18 month exile to The Woodlands) and even the neighborhoods, not the MPCs, have most of this stuff. However, it's a little tamer and without all the obsessive, compulsive Desperate Housewife behavior.
