Please no hate/flames:

My father-in-law is here visiting us for 2 weeks and he just developed a really, really bad cough (it sounds like bronchitis or worse). We need to take him to the dr but his health insurance from Mexico is not accepted in the US.

We obviously will pay out of pocket, but I would prefer a place that is not outrageously expensive. Does anyone have any recommendations?? Please help!!!

Does anyone know where we can go to get him checked out? I am afraid it could develop into pneumonia... I called our dr and she wouldn't see him bc she is not accepting new patients...? (even though he isn't a new patient, he'll just be a one-time patient). I don't think he should travel home with this infection.

Try an HEB clinic, located in a few of the Houston area stores - without insurance its about $80 for a visit. They are usually pretty quick about seeing patients too.

Try one of those Urgent Care clinics. But I would call first to find out if they take cash payments.
