That doesn't mean that everything here has to be GREAT. It can just be ok. I suppose Houston't nightlife is great if you are into hip hop, country or Mexican music. I am not. Houston is great if you like ghetto places or upper class places. There are not tons of things for people in the middle. There are a few in Montrose, The Heights, and a little in Eastwood.
Those people just as broke as the ghetto crowd.

Actually I have to say it is my favorite place I have lived in the States. I did like San Jose, Costa Rica and Medellin, Colombia better.

You may not see yourself as a sourpuss, but that's certainly how you come off, a lot of the time. Most of your posts that I've seen, regarding Houston, are usually negative or discouraging to outsiders. Not to mention your blanket statements or other generally unfounded claims that makes you look like you don't know what you're talking about.

I will be sitting here waiting for you to provide examples of the numerous arguments I've lost to you.

Most of anything you've ever had to say was simply your own opinions and misguided observations that you've tried to pass off as fact.

Perhaps you only pay attention to the negative things that I say. You can't portray Houston as perfect when it isn't. I try to give an unbiased opinion of how I view Houston. My opinion is reflected by virtually every person I know. I don't understand why there is such a high concentration of Houston homers on here. You can't paint Houston as a utopia when it isn't. Houston does have some good dive bars, mom and pop restaurants, museums, coffee houses, events, etc. I will give props where props are due. However, I do feel that Houston is an unattractive blue-collar city that lacks charm. There is a potential here that the city does not live up to. It lacks excitement and flair. You would think that a city of this size would have more things for its residents. However, people here seem to be happy with work, eat shop. I need a little more. Perhaps many people who live here are satisfied with that kind of lifestyle.
