I didn't read the listing, but what if the foreclosure was by one of those many banks who used whatever sleazy/unethical tactics needed to get an unsuspecting potential homeowner to sign on the dotted line? If that is what happened, I can understand - though I don't condone - why the owner took out their frustration on the house as a way of giving the bank the middle finger.

Where are those people who used to cry about foreclosed homes being picked up by investors and then being rented out to people who could actually afford to live in them???

I couldn't imagine this stuff going on--I really don't watch for foreclosed homes, so it is what it is--but, those folks I mentioned seem awfully quiet now.

When you give irresponsible losers money to burn, evidently, the loser rises to the top.

I have virtually no simpathy whatsoever for folks that buy over their heads with a ARM that can adjust upward. They knew what they were signing up for. If not, then I still have no sympathy. Read the dam(ned) contract. Most of them stopped paying not because they couldn't make the nut, but because their "investment" was underwater.

When you go buy a car, do you let the salesman upsell you to a Bentley because "on your income, you can easily make the interest-only payment"? I think not.

Don't even...

Ronnie

My former boss had a rental property. She had to evict someone for not paying rent and they pretty much did the same thing.

Guy got arrested for vandalism, but was out pretty quick. Didn't help the $20,000 in damage he did just because he was spiteful. They had a judgement against him, but never got a dime out of it.
