Hey everyone! My boyfriend and myself are from upstate New York in the Saratoga area. We are thinking of moving to Houston. We are in our mid twenties and absolutely hate the cold weather here and all the rain and we've lived here our whole lives! I know people keep saying how humid and hot it is in Houston but I love the hot weather. Im going back to school to be a nurse anesthetist and hopefully I'll go to Baylor, and my boyfriend is a CPA. Are there job opportunities? Are there good areas to live in that are somewhat affordable? ( although coming from NY I think Texas will definitely be cheaper). Is it an area with things to do and see? I've never been to Texas but I've been to Florida and Georgia in the summer and really loved the heat. Will it be hard for us to make friends since we're the "miserable New Yorkers"?
