We are relocating our family to the Houston area (Katy) this June. I have been watching the weather down there and I have noticed the high ozone levels over the last few days. We are really looking forward to being able to enjoy life outdoors, so I am a bit concerned to see these warnings of unhealthy air quality. Can anyone tell me whether this is a common occurrence/roughly how many high ozone level days Houston gets per year? Thanks!

They usually have these day during peak hot summer. I'd say less than a week a month that we have them. It depends on the weather trends at the time and vary. I don't recall having them this early in the year though.

It isn't every day, and other than recently, it has been mostly in the summer months on days you would want nothing to do with the outdoors anyway.
