I'm just curious to know what are the worst areas in Houston? Zip codes would be nice too, thanks.

Loaded question -- there are "worst" parts of Houston on every side of town just as there are great places on every side of town. The thing to ask might be, I am looking at moving to N, NE, NW, W, SE, S, SW, E, etc. and which zip codes should I avoid within that side of town.

This is a really hard question to answer. For city people, any burb is the worst. For burb people, city neighborhoods are the worst. If you want diversity, The Woodlands probably isn't for you. If you like conformity, Montrose won't be your thing.

That's an asinine assumption.

How so? Most people who want to live in the suburbs live in the suburbs and don't want to live down town, midtown or the like. A lot of people who live downtown don't like the suburbs.

If you don't believe me - search these threads and look at how many people say just what I said. I wasn't really being totally literal. I mean of course there are people who would like to live other than where they live but don't for various reasons. But the OP's post was sort of vague.

There are a handful of places in the city that a lot of suburban folks can only dream about, if only they had the money. There are also a handful of suburban areas a lot of 20-something city folk have nothing but good things to say about. The threads in here only sample a few stratum and do not depict real life. You can't paint things with such a broad brush.
