Aren't Los Lonely Boys and Los Amigos Invisibles playing? If they are, how can it not be worth it?

i've seen a single person blow $18 at a Chili's

priorities

and 65 bucks for summer fest for all the bands playing is nothing compared to what wristbands are now costing at SXSW and the level of d-baggery that is accumulating there

This weekend I had the option of taking my family to the Ifest, Texas Crawfish festival in Spring or the Montgomery county fair in Conroe.

I went to the Montgomery county fair and it was great.
$10 per adult, $5 per kid over 6 years old.
Parking was free
Food... I just drove to a restaurant in Conroe since parking was free at the fair and the restaurant that I wanted to go to was only about 5 miles away.
There were rides for all ages, for little kids, for kids, and for teenagers/adults.
Wristbands were $25.

Ifest has sucked the last 6-8 years. Last year was probably the worst and I pretty much said I won't go again until they get their act together.

It is pretty sad that Houston, the 4th largest city has something so "sad" as our International Festival.

$65 to see Willie Nelson, Snoop Dogg and Primus is a pretty good deal I think.

It used to be fun...but then again that was the 90's. Back when the Art Cars were combined with it.

But they aren't paying $18 at Chili's just to get in the door. They are getting $18 worth of food and drink.
