I LOVE what they are doing with the landscaping outside. Much better than what they did with Minute Maid or Toyota Center, and it's at a much smaller scale. They've planted dozens of nice trees all around the stadium. I'm surprised they haven't posted pictures, but I actually passed by today and they aren't done with the landscaping.

Just back from the first practice at the stadium. It is a gorgeous place. The players definitely enjoyed the new digs as well despite the heat. Definitely best to be on the side of the stadium facing downtown as it is in the shade.

For about 15 minutes we sat front row on the sunny side and it was hot. At one point Geoff Cameron came over and said to us, "Man is it hot, people are going to die in here!".

I dont think its ugly at all, I think its going to represent the "vibe" of the EaDo district as a whole, as a post industrial "warehuse" district. I fits in really well into the modern landscape of downtown. Plus their funds were kinda limited, so I think they did a great job the the hundred million or so. Its not like they had 500 mil to spend like the texans.
