How do y'all figure that?

According to Weather Underground, the average August high for Houston, thus far, has been 95 degrees, which is the typical average high for the month:

You guys are most likely using the past two summers as examples for what's normal for Houston, when they simply were not.

That's what I said, and two witnesses is all it takes to establish the truth.

Does this mean we will have a cool winter/fall?

As in less humid? Yeah, probably, but we have already exceeded our average monthly precipitation for this month.

I would certainly enjoy that, but I don't know if it's likely.

Yep, wife & I were talking about that last night too, walking the dogs. It hasn't been as sticky, muggy humid as August usually is.

Booyah! Almost makes 95 bearable.

Considering that the average winter high for Houston is in the 50-60s range, I'd say that a "real winter" is quite unlikely. It would be nice if things got chillier than usual. Another white Christmas would be great.

Last year we had one of the hottest summers ever, so let's cross our fingers for one of the coldest winters ever.
