I currently go to YMCA Cypress Creek. But I am getting tired of YMCA swimming pool shutting down because of one black cloud in the sky. Now they are doing pool construction and closing it for 2 months WTF!!

So, I am looking to switch to a new gym which has awesome pool. I would also like to have group classes like spinning, yoga and other exercises.

Any recommendations?

There are a few LA Fitness locations in northwest Houston, Fitness 19 in Cypress, Blast(formerly Ballys) on 290/Hollister and 24 Hour Fitness down the freeway on Bingle.

This is a little different, but I worked out at Streamline Fitness on Telge for a few years when I lived in Longwood. It is a MMA/boxing gym, but dont let that scare you, the classes are at least half women.

The owner Roland is a super nice guy and he will absolutely get you in the best shape of your life if you are willing. The classes are awesome because they can be scaled for any fitness level at all. Don't underestimate how much stress you can let out punching pads. Great for self defense too. If I still lived anywhere near there, I would still be a member.

I agree!! You can't beat Lifetime Fitness. They have just about anything you'd ever want or need in a gym all under one roof AND it is open 24/7. I used to go to this gym when I lived around 249 and Louetta.

I wish they had a Lifetime Fitness in the loop... I certainly miss it!
