Has anyone here gone through a recent build with Lennar (within the last year or so)? My wife and I are close to building in lakes of Savannah with Lennar, but we wanted to ping the board and get some opinions. I know construction manager is key in any build process, but I am curious to see what your experience was like. Any info on Lakes of Savannah would be great as well.

Lennar is like KIA. They are trying to get better....yet...it's still a KIA.

If you're ever in the Cypress area, go to the Fairfield subdivision (near the shopping outlet) - Travis Point, and you can compare the build quality of Lennar homes vs. Westin homes. They are both building a ton of homes there. You can see foundation, framing w/ HVAC, and sheet-rocked homes! You can tell which homes are by Lennar (box-like) and which are by Westin based on the floor plans. I'm guessing that Lennar uses the same suppliers / materials compared to where you are looking to build. The only difference would be the construction manager.

Just a suggestion in case you want to see the quality first-hand... good luck..

Each community varies based on the construction manager building your home. Have you interviewed the construction manager?
