What has happened it Hilton furniture? That chainsaw wielding owner was always on tv and you never see him now nor do I see that monster truck parked outside the store? Is he still the owner or is it a different store now?

He probably still hasn't recovered from all the millions he lost owning the Houston Comets during their last 2 years of existence.

I see him every one in a while on TV. Not as often as he used to be though.

I remember in the summertime they had some "Grand Closing" gimmick, where in reality they changed their name to the Hilton Furniture Concept or something. The only time I used them was for a twin bed for a kids room. You can get a locally-made, comfortable pillowtop set delivered for the same price as a low-end set from Sears that has a rubber dorm/prison mattress. Pretty soon I'm going back to see if they will do the same deal. The salesmen are like those mall kiosk guys with the calculator magic tricks, and it's standard procedure to balk at their first price.
