I am looking for quality quilted moving blankets and various size moving boxes. Any recommendations?

Don't know how picky you are about what your boxes say on the outside, but the last three times I have moved (once myself, and my parents twice), I have gotten used boxes from the local liquor store, and they worked just fine. And they were free...... In fact, I got the impression that they were glad that I was taking them so that they didn't have to deal with disposing of them.

x2! I used banana boxes too from the grocery store as well, but with those they do have the middle cut out so you have to be sure to get ones with the inside paper clean.

My last move when I packed my breakables, we used dishtowels, hand towels, bath towels and such...I did get a chuckle out of my housekeeper using my socks...she would take my kitchen glasses and shove it inside a sock then pack it in the box.

Cheap blankets...hit up goodwill.

I've done that before too but now I'm moving a family of four I've go too much to do leading up to the move to track down 150 boxes that work for all our stuff. But do check craigs list for free boxes or keep an eye out for people moving into your neighborhood, may just luck out.
