working in Galleria area, found a house in Missouri City approx 10 miles away, was wondering how the conditions are in the area for buying a home for investment.

I'm also open to suggestions in other areas for investing in real estate.

Unless you are in the new MPCs like Sienna or Riverstone, I would say no, and even within those it's more of a long term hold, i.e. 10+ years.

Master planned community

Best to buy a house for your needs rather than as a hopeful investment.

No.

Mo City is a failed place. Drive down McHard Road between the Fort Bend Tollway and 90 and you will understand.

Are you including the Riverstone development when stating this? The majority of that is in Mo. City. It looks fine to me.

Missouri City is fine.

Old timers don't like the fact that minorities have "taken over", to be perfectly blunt.

Yes, Post Oak and W Airport is a wonderful area.

Quail Valley is a great example. Is there a grocery store in Mo City?

How is the foreclosure rate? How many vacant places are in the city?

There's good and bad in Mo City. As you go west it gets better. The eastern-most portion is no doubt ghetto and not somewhere to live, but head west and you get into solidly lower middle class areas. And furthest west bordering Sugar Land are Sienna and Riverstone.

It's a good option for the lowest middle class, especially because of the no apartment rule.

Riverstone is not by any means "lowest middle class". Most of the entry point housing prices in that MPC would be a stretch for a good portion of the "middle middle class".
