I tried googling the closed Kroger's in Sugarland and Trader Joe, but get no results.

How does the previous poster know about this ? Also, they'd probably have to divide up the original store if this is the plan.

Totally different shopping vibes, and seem to target different shoppers.

Trader Joes shopping experience is a blend of Costco meets Specs with a dash of Whole Foods cultism. There is a TON of processed and packaged food in there. Bright lighting and crowded aisles. You have to be geared up and ready to "go in" kind of feel." I want the bargin wine, a couple tubs of cookie butter( whatever the hell that is) , move over lady you're blocking the samples, oh look what they are uncrating from California!!!"

Fresh Market's shopping experience is a blend of old Rice Epicurian mets Whole Foods goal of fresher veggies mets Eatzi prepared, fresh meals. The focus is on more of a non additive lifestyle, with the Pachelbel Cannon playing and dim lighting. Calm and quiet. You gear down when you go in. "I just want a civilized and calm atmosphere to pick up a bottle of wine and some freshly rolled, Chicken Cordon Bleu to pop on the oven, and will have a nice chat with the butcher."

I think both will do well.

The Kroger that shut down was on the corner of Hwy 6 and Settlers Way.
