Hey there,

Recently, I got a ran stop sign ticket. Does anyone know how much it will cost? Is that possible I can take defensive driving course to remove my record? Thank you.

According to ^^^ is $237.
You can't remove it from your record. It will always show on cops computer, however they will see how old it is.
Defensive driving course might help to lower your fine.
Is that your first ticket?

In some cases, the state will allow you to take defensive driving if you decide to plead guilty and pay your traffic ticket. Learn more on taking a state-approved defensive driving course to reduce points and penalties associated with your non-criminal moving violation.

elnina,

Thank you for information.
Someone said the fine depends on what county or city where I got the ticket. Is that true?
That is my first ticket for running stop sign, but not the first ticket. Will it cause any different?

Not that I doubt you, but is there a way to confirm this?

Why don't you call the number on your ticket and find out?

It depends on where you got it. Hopefully not League City, where it will cost you $300 and if you happen to be under 18, you'll qualify for some judicial activism and get extra penalties if you opt for the defensive driving course. If you're in America though, yeah, the fine still varies some but closer to $200, and you can simply take defensive driving to dismiss it.

Yes, I saw my old, and the only speeding ticket from 1991 still in a cop car computer. He said that all tickets, since added to database stay there forever. That might change as the data gets overloaded, but not anytime soon.

If you get a ticket, I believe it always will show in the police system. However, you can get most removed from your driving record through defensive driving...and your driving record is what counts as far as insurance goes.

Police records and driving record are 2 different things. I've had one speeding ticket, it never showed up on my driving record because I took defensive driving...but can still be brought up on a police computer.

^^^ This! Exactly.
The police can see your entire history back to the day when they first entered it to the computer database. They can pull it up on their cruiser laptop.
I was told that they can see every time that your plate is run, regardless of whether you were issued a warning - or even if you weren't pulled over.
