ok, i know this isnt a TOP 50 bbq place in texas (or even top 100)....but we loved it for the small, local, family oriented business it is....(we try to support local businesses as much as we can)

Maybe someone can answer this question. My favorite is Demeris as seems to be the case for many non-natives. Non-natives tend to not like this place at all.

Have you tried Franklin's or J Mueller though? Gaitlin is good, but it is not close to the best. Franklin's is rated #1 in the nation by many outlets, and the article linked in this OP has them #1 in Texas, and it's for a reason. Sat-Sun you will be waiting 3 hours to get your food, and if you don't get there early it is sold out. And it is not just hype, it really is
that good.
