I see there are SWAC grads on this board so here's the good news below. With reliant adding field turf they're becoming very aggressive and bidding on everything. They will get LSU in 2014 on Labor Day Weekend.

The Southwestern Athletic Conference's football championship games and basketball tournaments will be held in Houston the next three years.
The league announced Thursday that the Council of Presidents and Chancellors voted unanimously to relocate the championship events.
The football championship game will be held at Reliant Stadium, home of the NFL's Texans, from 2013-15. The men's and women's basketball tournaments are headed to the Toyota Center, where the Houston Rockets play, from 2014 through 2016.

What, Interesting. It's about time they show the western SWAC Schools some Love. I'm not a SWAC grad, went to Texas A&M. But I grew up in SWAC Country so I follow. I can't believe they moved it to Houston. I could see New Orleans, more centrally located. But Houston is a shocker.

its about deals...New Orleans has enough going on in December with high school and bowl games plus they have the Bayou Classic in November....

Reliant is getting aggressive now with the field turf plus to offset the Super Bowl costs they're going for everything.
