I'm not from Texas so very unfamiliar. Aside from going there myself and looking for a realtor I wanted to ask for suggestions for a houston suburb for a couple in their sixties. Somewhere in the 300-450 range. With relative proximity to MD Anderson hospital, vietnamese communities, low crime, low traffic, etc. thanks.

Relative proximity - like how many miles away do you want to be from MD Anderson?

What Katie said. Sugar Land is one of the nicest suburbs. It is much closer to the Asian community in Houston. It has the lowest crime of the suburbs. It is about 10-15min farther from the med center than Pearland. Pearland is lower to medium end suburb. It is also the closest to Houston. With your budget you can afford Sugar Land.

Pearland has at least two 55-and-up communities: "Countryplace" and "Bellavita at Green Tee." Both are below your budget though, but still really nice.
