Commute would be biggest con - so it depends on where job is located.

Shell Woodcreek, but he says the commute isn't the issue. He wants it to be nice, kinda out, and quiet with good schools.

We are looking there too. But we noticed it seems you can get more for your money in Tomball.

Are you looking at a particular price point? You would be surprised what you can find if you know where to look... While Tomball may feel "quiet" at the moment, I think there is too much uncertainty with the new Grand Parkway going in and basically splitting Tomball into two. I have a feeling you are going to see tons of growth and all the things that come with that...

New Construction:

Cinco Ranch
Pine Mill Ranch
Silver Ranch
Cardiff Ranch
Churchill Farms
Cross Creek Ranch
Katy Creek Ranch
Hawks Landing
Westheimer Lakes North
Firethorne

Used:

Older parts of the communities above and:
Parkway Oaks
Falcon Ranch
Falcon Point
Seven Meadows
Grand Lakes

All of these places have 4 bedroom homes with excellent schools and under $250. Albeit, Cinco Ranch may be pushing the limit but a quick search on har.com and you will see that there are homes...although they do go fast. Working in the energy corridor, I-10 is a straight shoot to work and to these communities. With Tomball your going to be dealing with 249, the Beltway, and then I-10. And remember, a realtor is very knowledgeable and is free for the buyer as the seller is the one who pays the commission (for both new and used).

I do realize that non of this has to do with Tomball but you did say that you were looking into Katy as well best of luck with your search!

Yes, you can - BUT that is a heckova commute. I would look at Cinco or Jersey Village.

Tomball is pretty. Katy is not.

Forests and rolling hills vs. a sea of suburban homes on sun scorched rice fields?
