I haven't looked at the sporting good stores, but the ranges have had plenty of rounds the last few times I've gone. Didn't ask whether it was for range use only or not.

The Academy near me had one box of 9mm the last time I was there. It was hollow point though. Haven't seen FMJ 9mm in months.

But yeah, the ranges seem to be pretty well stocked.

The ammo shortage is national. It will stop when crazy people stop stock piling ammo for a civil war. I usually check Academy and buy all the boxes they will allow. The ranges are well stocked because they buy cheap ammo in bulk and charge three times as much as it should cost. This is why I have not hit the range in the last year. You can go to a gun show and buy ammo, but it will be very marked up too. Academy is a national chain and their prices are set. You just have to stop in there a lot and buy what you can. I used to pass by it on my way to work, so it was easy.

If the crazy people have all the ammo, I sure hope I'm on their team!

Are you looking for hollow point defense rounds or just target rounds?

Freedom Munitions.

I haven't been by in awhile because Im all stocked up. Call ahead. They sell mostly reloads now, new when they catch up. Their reloads have an excellent reputation for range ammo. They also have some very reasonably priced nickel cased HP 9mm.

When we elect a president that a significant portion of the populace thinks won't limit their access to firearms.
