Houston did not make the top ten in either category. Surprise!

I don't think it is very surprising. We have expanded most of our freeways to their limit except 290. We have lots of toll ways. I don't think Houston drivers are especially bad. Houston is a young city that is very well laid out. Our flat geography makes things much easier. We also have no winter weather to deal with. I would be surprised if we were in the top 20. Austin traffic makes Houston look good. The DC area had 3 of the top 10.

Anybody want to bet that Houston has the worse entrance/exit ramps in the nation?

I have never understood that. I have never had any trouble with the entrance/exit ramps in Houston. They seem to work just fine. The only bad one is Chimney Rock @ 59.

Austin is about where I would expect it. Horrible, horrible traffic and poorly designed roads/freeways.

For then most part, Houston is pretty good in this category. The really bad ones are the I-45S on ramp from Allen Parkway and exiting Chimney Rock from 59 southbound.

I'm offended that we're not No. 1 on this list!!! It's a rule that we should always be No. 1!!

Spent 4 years up in the Dallas area, specifically Denton. I-35 has entrance ramps straight out of the Eisenhower administration. Most entrance ramps do not have braided entrance/exit lanes and therefore you pretty much merge straight onto the freeway, typically going uphill and sometimes blind. Every time I came home for break I basked in the glory of how much better a majority of our entrance/exits are.
