I remember talking to a realtor once not too long ago, and they said that the realtors make fun of the Summerwood community. I can't remember the derogatory term they called it, but it insinuated a bad flooding problem. I don't know anything about Eagle Springs. Don't know if that helps at all.

I'd choose Eagle Springs over Summerwood. There is also another new area close by called Lakeshore you want to check out. Also check out Fall Creek

they are both great communities created by newland communities but since I live in summerwood and know a friend that lives in eagle springs she says she love it, but i love summerwood even more we just so close to the freeway and we are so close to shooping and eagle springs is a great community too they are both equally match....i passed through there when i go drop my children's friends to thier homes after school...what a carpool...and i get this feeling of what a great community and it look and shows the same charactics as summerwood it's just two different locations..so you want go wrong...

We looked at both when we were house hunting and of the two, I would choose Summerwood. I just like the area better. We looked at both of these along with Fall Creek when choosing our home and fell in love with a home in Fall Creek, so that is where we live. I think Fall Creek, Summerwood, Lake Shore and the newest neighborhood, Water's Edge are all great communities. They all have swim teams that compete against each other (this includes Eagle Springs), and the area is really up and coming. I hope this helps. ~K~

Good call about Water's edge. BTW, in Fall Creek do you do most of your grocery shopping at 1960 and West Lake Houston?

My favorite place to grocery shop is the HEB at the 1960 and WLH. But since the Super Walmart went in across from FC, I shop there a lot out of convenience. Unfortunately their produce is way lacking and fresh fish/seafood is almost nonexistent, so I try to go elsewhere for those (HEB). I hear there is a new grocery store planned just down the beltway from FC; Kroger's.

Good news about the Kroeger's! I also like the HEB on 1960 and WLH though I shop most at the HEB on Kingwood Drive as its less than a mile from my home.

Eagle Springs is a very nice community, but it's about 15 minutes away from Hwy 59, and I hear that traffic in the morning can be heavy getting out to the freeway.
