As of 3:45 p.m., a tornado watch was extended to Houston. The watch will last until 9 p.m. CDT.

“Texas counties included are Aransas bee Brazoria Calhoun Chambers Fort Bend Galveston Goliad Hardin Harris Jefferson Liberty Matagorda Montgomery Orange Refugio,” the National Weather Service said.

The original tornado warning for Fort and Harris counties will last until 3:15 p.m. local time.

Not today. A lot of schools were in session for a snow make up day (HISD, FBISD, Katy ISD, etc). My kids got home 20 minutes late. But at least they were safe.

What a perfect day for all this to happen. Most people off work and out of school. I'm hoping we don't get a repeat of this weather tomorrow.

I'm really enjoying a marathon of Netflix viewing on a day like this.

Is rain really that rare here now that a rainstorm is now worthy of being recorded and posted on Youtube. I clicked on that expecting some flooding, high winds, or hail. But it was just rain. Not even really that heavy.

That is not heavy rain I guess to you if it does not rain 1 inch in 15 min it is not heavy

The Eastwood area had around 2-1/2 inches of rain in a couple of hours. There was some street flooding, but don't know about water in the underpasses on Polk or Elgin.
