comcast continues to be voted as the worst costumer service in any industry. This exceeds any 'bad apples' and would indicate a bad orchard.

Comcast service is abysmal but there isn't a cheaper service available that allows your wife to stream Netflix, kids to use Pandora and X-box while you hide on the other side of your big suburban house in the bathroom streaming a porno. All at the same time and without choppy-ness.

ATT is much worse in my experience. sure, they sound friendly, but they don't know what they are doing. Even a simple upgrade in service will cause a mess and about 20hrs of your life trying to straighten out their errors. One time I called, they can't even find me in their systems, regardless of how much information I gave.

And the rep lies.
Had comcast for 15 years and my Verizon Fios blows Comcast Internet away as far as speed goes and their (Comcast) HD sucks!

I always said that their HD looked like an upscaled digital definition picture and didn't know how right I was until I got fios HD!

There is no way cable internet and tv can outdo fiber optics and the main reason for that is the 'bottleneck' that you get with cable.

(The more users in your area using cable .. the slower the speed.)

My fios internet consistently clocks at around 500Mbps download and 100Mbps upload and sometimes more!

Our cost for fios landline, tv, internet 'and' cell phone is $167.00 a month!

When I left CC my bill for just internet and tv was around $150.00

Service from Comcast and Time Warner before them was the reason I went with satellite tv and have not looked back toward cable.

Figuring out how to watch current shows on the computer with a good connection may be my next step though.

Just looked up Fios internet on their website. It looks like it is 300 a month for 500/100 mbp/s speeds..
