Can anyone tell me of dog friendly dining anywhere from galveston to inside the loop? Looking for places that allow diners to sit at outdoor or dockside tables where they get waitstaff service to order and dine.

Are you looking for dog-friendly restaurants in Galveston, in the loop, or somewhere in between?

Dining no, bars have a few. Use google. But only bring the dog if it stays under control around other dogs.

Both of the inner loop Barnaby's, Vietopia on Buffalo Speedway, and Ruggles in Rice Village have dog friendly patios. In Galveston, Brickhouse on the seawall allows dogs in their covered patio.

Here is a list for Houston:
Restaurants + Bars - Dog Friendly Houston

In Kemah, we've taken the pups here-they have a large, shaded, dog-friendly patio.

Beck's Prime (every location that has outdoor seating -- the one on Kirby will provide waiter service and the one on the Memorial Golf Course has a stand where you can order outside so you don't have to go inside the restaurant) & Red Lion Pub (River Oaks) as well

All of the above - we go all over the place to dine within reason. So any place from Galveston to inside the loop and in-between.

Cottonwood near Garden Oaks allows dogs. I didn't know this when I went and found it quite annoying. People kept letting their dogs roam around and often they would come up to your table wanting scraps. I haven't gone back since.

I know all dogs aren't like this and most will sit quietly and not bother anyone. But the few that do roam around and bark and fight with the other dogs really do ruin it for everyone.

I'd rather just not take the chance and just eat where dogs aren't allowed.

edit: Just to be clear I'm fine with dog friendly restaurants. I simply made the mistake of going to one unknowingly. I'm glad they are available to those who have dogs.
