It seems like entire species of mosquitoes have set up camp around my house and just waiting to bite me as soon as I come out. My question to u all....are u guys experiencing the same all around Houston? I understand we just got some rain last few days but this amount is outrageously large. Where's the smith & Wessen (citronella candle) when you need it

Yes, I think it has been the short rains for several days.

Yes, they are horrible all over the place. chery is probably correct as more rain leads to more possible breeding grounds. The best course of action is to drain standing water on your property. The spraying the MUDs and cities pay for is pretty ineffective.

They are BAD here. And they are hanging right around the doors--it's awful! I am covered in bites. A bunch flew into my car when I got in it (in the garage). I've been driving around flailing at them.

I 2nd League City is a war zone. Just went to Home Depot for some cans of Cutter. Carry a small towel. Makes it easier to swat then in the car.

I'm in Dickinson and they better get the rolling fogger out soon. I'm dying where I'm at. I have to break out the shop vac on the garage door before I can go in otherwise I'll bring in 3 dozen with me and that's no joke. I've used 2 foggers in the garage all within 30 minutes of each other and they die instantly too. I sprayed some insect killer on the yard and bushes today but shortly after the rain came down like I haven't seen in a long time. I can't remember the last time it's been this bad.

My camera phone doesn't take good pictures but you can see all the black dots on the wall. I got them all with the shop vac and 30 seconds later it looked as if I didn't get any. And like the other poster they love to fly and bounce off the door hoping to get in. I've killed about 12 so far in the house that made it in.

Yes, we went to league city today and we were attacked. My son is 2 and he was traumatized (we didn't have mosquitoes where we lived before). I don't remember them being so bad when we lived in Texas before.

They haven't been this bad this year until this week. Must've been a lot of love making in mosquito land recently. I'm sure spiders, lizards and frogs are in hog heaven right about now.

I was getting rid of some stuff in the garage around 10pm and loading it up into a guys car. It was crazy how bad they were. Everywhere there was any light you would see 20 or more. It's to the point when you get in the car you have to roll the windows down for a bit to get them all out and enjoy the AC in this heat.
