Kingwood is way to far from the Med center....he can spend $500,000, he doesnt need to live in the burbs and drive a million miles a year imo

The problem is marrying schools/the proximity to the airport AND the medical center.

Yeah, I thought of Garden Oaks/Oak Forest area - but schools ruled it out. Kingwood has the schools and the airport proximity - and the drive is not that bad into the medical center, because that freeway moves.

How about memorial? I hv heard the schools are great! But can I get anything thr within my budget?

There are a few in your budget, but they won't be updated. Check out har.com and do a single family home search in area 23. Some are zoned to KATYISD which is a great district too.

Thanks! While searching properties on har.com..there is no filter for crime and exemplary school districts..any recommendations how do I search for areas/zones that hv low crime and good schools?

No filters like that, but you can do a beta map search on there that show school boundaries. Spring Branch ISD schools south of I 10 are great for the most part. It's a very safe area IMO.

What I would do is search in that area and find a house you like. Click on the view info button and then the search schools button. You will be able to access the school profiles.

also there is plenty of other websites to check to, for example - Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowed
