I opened this post thinking it might apply to me, but 35 is still childhood to me, not middle aged.

No problem. At 35 you should be enjoying life to its fullest -- you are at one of the best ages in life. Stay fit and you might not even be middle-aged in your 40s.

Well, for me, 36 might be one of the best ages... right now, at 35, I'm going through a divorce (initiated by me). So things are gonna suck for a while, but maybe by the time I turn 36, I'll be alright

Allen House is where divorced guys used to go. I understand you want the amenities nearby without all the meatheads. Like the Rob Lowe commercial, bro.

May want to look at EaDo, or some small complexes in Montrose. I'd say heights, north of 18th or Timbergrove area.

Ha, I used to live at Allen House before I got married. It was within my budget at the time, though. This time, I'll look for something nicer.

Upper Kirby, something near memorial or Hermann parks. Also a nice complex across from discovery green.

I went with the river oaks area, near upper kirby, memorial, and downtown. Very central.

I would even say a new townhome in the GOOF area...this area seems to be the mecca of thirty-somethings, single and married...
