There are a few area that have problems with home flooding. But the larger and mostly unavoidable problem is that a large number of streets, feeders, etc hold water during heVr rains making them impassable at the time, however they clear off quickly once the rain starts, making commuting difficult. As far as homes, the areas you mentioned seem to be fairly safe. For insurance purposes, homes located in zone x are in the preferred flood plain.
