Hi! I've lived in Texas my whole life, so this won't be a huge change, I live 2 hours from Houston. I'm thinking about going to Houston Community College then transfer to U of H. But I don't have a car, should I go to a CC where I can bike to campus until I get a car, and then move to Houston?? Thank you!

Living in Houston without a car is extremely difficult.

Talk to the freshman academic adviser at your local community college and find out what courses will transfer to UH. Take those basic/core classes at your local CC and save money. Going to UH and living in Houston is not inexpensive, even if you live on campus. You'll want to have a reliable car here -- public transportation in Houston doesn't go everywhere, even with the new light rail line running by the UH campus.
