How is the community Fairfield in 77433?
What school zone do they fall under?

I will narrow down my search to CCL and keep hunting for a good bargain.
Thanks for the input guys.
If I end up going for already built home, what year should I keep my search under?

Fairfield is nice. Most of the new is very, very close to 99. Cy-Fair schools. Elementary schools and middle located at Fairfield. Cy-Ranch High is the same high school as Bridgeland, and sits just outside Bridgeland entrance.

Anything 2007ish onward is going to be pretty energy-efficient. There are certainly homes built before that that are, also - but that's about when I noticed they all became pretty competitive with it.

Both communities have web sites you need to visit - to see what amenities are available.

Ryland just opened a new development in 77433 - you could get new construction in your budget with great schools.

I really loved it
Can someone please tell me in future will my kid get rezoned or is he set for Rennell/Anthony Middle/Cy-Fair?

Didn't like what I saw when I peeked into a few of their homes when that section first opened. They are cheap for a reason.

That home is in the Active Adult section for 55 or over. They have strict age restrictions for living in that section.

oops my bad, i'm a first time home buyer so saw the pics on har and was like damn this looks good
Called ashtonwoods at CCL and they said they are completely sold out and now they are starting a new construction right next to the school zone (warner/smith/cy-fair)
It starts around 300K for a new construction for 50ft
Is it worth pumping 300K for ashton woods for this particular floor plan and area

She told me that the new construction is starting at Section 26 in the map

I would definitely opt for a home that is 2-3 years old in better master planned community than new in Canyon Lakes. Also look at the price range of homes in the entire community. Always better to buy on the lower end. The more expensive homes should help yours appreciate. Bridgeland's sounds great with Elementary in the neighborhood. Will attract tons of families and your child will have lots of trails and amenities to enjoy as she gets older. I promise you will blink and she will be riding her bike or running down the street to her friends house.
