When the water recedes finally and stuff is back to normal one place I have never been living in Houston is this park. Is their any places recommended to see the Houston skyline well? How safe is it at night? I really don't like homeless people coming up and begged how much of that is a problem?

I see people there all the time at night, running, walking, and riding bikes. I'm not sure if I would do it, but my friends say they would with no worries.

I go there 2-3 times per week to run after work. It's safe, there are lots of people biking, running, playing basketball or volleyball.
Downtown view is nice all along Allen Parkway.

Default Safe

I go down there with my son at night, and we have no problems. There are always a bunch of other people out there as well. Now, if you are talking about midnight, or later, then who knows, I have never been at that hour.

You should be fine... take a friend. The views of downtown are really amazing at night.

I go there with my bike after work. Go back home after sundown. Never had any problems. Not sure about night, but early mornings and late evenings are safe, and quite enjoyable
Make sure do take mosquito repellant. They are really bad right now...
