Nice link, BTW wcccog. I wonder if one could drive a house boat there and live in it? Maybe I should jump on this before people actually do it. Downtown living on the water, who knew?!

I'm in the process of possibly getting permission to take a cruise from Sims Bayou through the ship channel to Buffalo Bayou to get to downtown.

The bayou dumps out into the ship channel. The ship channel is a designated "security zone" and no recreational boating is permitted.

They do have a process to get a permit to move through, but I don't know it, and its complicated. All navigable water is definitively no longer public, that is for sure.
