That is still very true but service is what sets it apart. I worked at a new downtown hotel that has all of the goodies, beautiful art and whatnot. Sure our hotel was prettier and hip but decades of developed service standards and staff experience set the Four Seasons apart. It's one of the reasons they retain team contracts so well. We would get teams occasionally but one silly screw up and you'll never see them again.

Sure the Four Seasons isn't going to blow the teams away with it's unique beauty but their consistent service, location and experience dealing with teams and VIP guest is far more important to a team's travel director.

That. You can stay in Four Seasons anywhere in the world and the service is ALWAYS exceptional.
