I just got my appraised value letter for 2017 and it decreased several thousand dollars. What are you all seeing with your property values?

My mom's went up by $20k while my brother's went down by $20k, and they are about six mikes apart in very similar neighborhoods.

Mine stayed the same. They tried to increase my market value by $150k last year, but BTAnow kept that to under $5k.

It's almost like they use darts and a wheel-of-value when making their decisions.

Oh, and the boards have become shills for the country.

Mine increased ridiculously, again. I e-protested and got what I asked for-- a huge decrease. It's great, but really doesn't inspire confidence in their reasoning.

I think in my case they are still correcting for a massive over valuation 2 or 3 years ago. It was so high as to be comical.

Just more sales chasing. We were lucky to live in a vey small subdivision that rarely had over 8 sales a year. Taxes never went up.
