We got one last night from CCISD as well. This is obviously an Internet hoax that's happening all over. There have been threads on it here on C-D for weeks now.

But, it reminds me of when I was at Welch Middle School in the early 1980s, and there was a rumor that a gang called The Smurfs was going to hit campuses to injure (or worse) anyone who was wearing Polos or Izods. Being the high strung dork that I was at 12 years old, I wore my gym clothes half the day.....

FBISD issued a statement to parents saying that they were aware of the hoax, and that there is no active threat to any school in district.

I remember a hoax that there was a gang initiation where they were driving around with their headlights off and if someone flashed their lights to let them know about it they were shot.

I also feel sorry for any legitimate clowns that are headed to their clown gigs today.

About 15 years ago, I happened to be driving and stopped at a red light, when a minivan with a person dressed as a clown pulled up behind me. I looked in my rear view mirror, saw the clown and immediately started laughing. The clown saw me looking, gave me a big smile and waved. I waved back. Then the light turned green and I drove off.

I wondered how many times a day he/she had interactions like that.

Don't they even have schools to train them? I wonder if you can make a decent living doing parties and events, not to mention the potential for appearing in a long running television show (i.e. Clarabell, Krusty etc).

I'm thinking that it would be a tough way to make a living. Thus, so many sad clowns.

Soon we'll see Racist Clowns, Clown Lives Matter, LGBTqrstuv Clowns (how would you tell?), etc.

That kid who was busted just needs a good old fashion slap from one parent (or both), they're old enough to understand why.
