My parents are headed back to NY tomorrow after a 2-week visit (can I just say I'm going to be weeping tomorrow because a) I love them and b) they spoiled us all being GREAT grandparents to my kids).

My dad has requested that we go out for fajitas tonight. Any recommendations for really great fajitas & yummy flour tortillas?

A friend recommended La Escondida on Hwy6 in SP but that was for Tex-Mex in general. Not sure how their fajitas stack up.

We've been to Pappasitos in Spring & Berry Hill (Woodlands) last December but no one recalls fajitas being memorable. Dad keeps saying the fajitas were better in San Antonio.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Probably. It's near the Hwy 59 / Hwy 6 intersection.

For cheap, good Mexican, try El Vaquero on FM 1092 in Missouri City near the Brightwater subdivision. We used to go there all the time when we lived over that way.

I got to put my vote in for Lopez. They're fajitas are more traditional I'd say because Lupe's are basically build your own burrito. I used to be a big Lupe fan but have grown tired of their taste. Lopez on the other hand never gets old!

We opted for Lupe Tortilla. Great tortillas and guacamole! The chips were not very fresh & the salsa was kind of meh imo. My parents liked the fajitas but my brother & I thought there was way too much lime used in the marinating. To us it tasted like Filipino beef steak with onions (which is maybe why our parents liked it). Overall a good experience since it was my dad's request & he was happy with the meal.

Thanks for all your recs...we will try Lopez next time!
