I heard that Houston has the largest Nigerian population out of Lagos and England.

Cool man! I visited Houston and I liked the overall diversity there and the Nigerian presence there as well. I just want a change from Atlanta. it seemed that Houston is a real international city and Atlanta (with all due respect) tries to perp like it is. Is the Nigerian community really cliquish there?

You mean outside of Nigeria, there are alot of large population centers outside of Lagos within the country of Nigeria....Houston definitely has alot of Nigerians, at least it seemed that way from when I visited. But it is a difference between visiting and living in a city.

Not really. If you're Nigerian, then you're Nigerian. They kind of look down on American Blacks though and since I'm half, I don't really like that. I think that's just Nigerians in general. But, it is what it is. Cool people all the way around tho.

I understand. Its good that you acknowledge your Nigerian half, unlike most full blooded second generation Nigerian Americans who want nothing to do with their culture.

Regarding the Northern Black Exodus to the South, I don't think it matters what race you are. Anyone with common sense can see that the blue state cesspools are being run into the ground by the democraps. Detroit is just a test case of what the leftist perverts and mob-rule, street-agitator democraps want to do to the rest of the country. I just saw the movie Salt with Angelina Jolie, and I am starting to wonder if the democrap party is populated by Soviet sleeper agents who haven't been informed that communism and socialism don't work and are still hell bent on taking America down.

But nevermind my political rant, let's get down to the facts. Texas has no state income tax, a favorable business climate (=jobs), no unions, reasonable tort laws so doctors will practice here, low cost of living, and good looking women.

Not sure on the exact statistics, but Texas added on the order of 4M people from 2000-2010. The top 13 northern states added 1.7M over the same term, combined. In the last few years Texas has created more jobs than the other 49 states, combined. If anyone wants me to cite sources give me about 15 seconds with Google.

In Houston, we have the energy sector, Texas Medical Center (where two-bit socialist banana republic dictators and Arabian oil sheiks go for treatment, not Cuba as Michael Moore would have you believe), space program (or what's left of it after Obama dismantles it), one of the top 3 busiest ports in the country, and on and on.

As to the OPs question, I would advise that if ATL is being run by the democraps, GTFO while you still can and come to Texas, preferably Houston. That goes for everyone else too. Drop everything, rent the U-Haul, and just get here. You will find work in about 24 hours, affordable housing, a lower overall cost of living, and you will get used to the air in no time. The Texans might even have a good year this year. No comment on the 'Stros.

That's what I meant! I'm typing too fast and not re-reading what I type! If Houston has the largest Nigerian population outside of Nigeria, then its Nigerian community must be huge as people say it is.
