Anyone see this headline
https://www.washingtonpost.com/power...=.4cbae67dcd02

If you thought you were going to see a significant tax benefit--
Congressman Brady kind of put paid to that...
Anyone posting here live in his district?
Most of it goes north through the piney woods---

Postcard. haha

Everyone knows not to put anything on a postcard that you wouldn't want everyone else to know. Especially you SS# and annual income.

I could see the current rosy consumer confidence become depressed by this time next year.

I live in Kevin Brady’s district. He is very controversial, there have been many attempts by the far right to unseat him, but he consistently gets re-elected because he has so much money.

if you know he is in Freedom Caucus then why say the far right is trying to unseat him?
Makes no sense

The right wing in Montgomery County hates him and has tried many times to unseat him. I like him and know him personally but Montgomery County politics is so right wing that they want someone more further right wing than Kevin Brady. Craig McMichael challenged him in three elections, claiming he would keep running until he defeated Kevin Brady. After three losses he gave up. In 2016, the tea party organized the Texas House of Representatives Representative from The Woodlands, Steve Toth to run against him. Putting everything they had into that primary election, Kevin Brady won with over 50% of the vote.

To summarize, tea party Republicans in Montgomery County hate him because they don’t think he’s right wing enough. Their biggest problem being that he did not vote for the government shut down.

I don't doubt that he receives a lot of political contribution/donation money, but it appears he only has a net worth of approximately $500k+. There's lots and lots of Houstonians that make more than that a year.
