There is a private/public van service that connects up with METRO (the regular bus service) from First Colony Mall in Sugarland, then METRO to the Med center.

Hi!

I wholeheartedly agree with previous posters. Telfair, New Territory, Avalon, and the First Colony areas are all nice areas with good schools—and where many Asians call “home”. Greatwood is also very nice, but until TxDOT finishes all the construction and expansion on Hwy. 59 and Grand Parkway, traffic in the area is really bad in the morning and afternoon rush hours.

Since you’re commuting to the Med Center, you might also want to consider Sienna Plantation and Riverstone. Sienna Plantation is a very nice, LARGE (10,500 acre) master-planned community. Both are close to the Ft. Bend Toll Rd., which will take you to Hwy. 90 and directly to the Med Center. However, the first areas of Sugar Land are closer to the restaurants and stores in Bellaire/Chinatown so it really depends on what’s most important to you.
