Looking a place that serves steak and fries French style. Nothing fancy more like a bistro atmosphere.
Location in dowtown I guess.

Houston's. Neither are downtown. One is on Kirby and one near Uptown on Westheimer.

I would second Brasserie 19 for that kind of food, although I don't know if any French people are associated with it. There was another place in midtown, just south of Elgin, that was recommended to me, but I forget the name and can't find it online. Etoile in Uptown Park is another nice choice, too. Stay away from Toulouse (fake French food from Dallas).
