My bad. Yeah, check out the MLK Slab Fest that happens annually. It starts at MLK and Griggs and goes the entire stretch of MLK.

Yep it's something unique to Houston. Similar to the truck culture in Texas. It's a thing.

That video in OP shows how much prestige the Galleria has lost over the years. I’m sorry I don’t mean to offend anyone here but this is not “culture” in the real sense. I’m sure that “culture” exists in North Houston where all the rappers grew up but you couldn’t even imagine anything like that on the west side 10-15 years ago let alone inside the Galleria Mall.

Ugly or beautiful, what's your opinion?
- Let's vote.

Unfortunately I think this is ugly and tasteless. I admit I have never seen it outside of Houston so this is definitely a Houston thing. Does this give bonus points to Houston? - I don't think so, but this is debatable...

And your people would take over it and call it your own like you all do everything else that you don’t like at first.

These cars are fabulous and unique. The Galleria is exactly where they belong as it is a shrine to bling and excess. It is a positive thing that the Galleria has grown to embrace diversity and beyond a place for ladies from West U to shop for tennis bracelets.

cul·ture
/ˈkəlCHər/

noun
1.
the arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively.

Based on the definition. I don’t think there’s much intellectual achievement in the bunch.

Galleria still has that prestige RELAX. This culture help bring Houston into pop culture relevancy so it's a reason why Galleria allowed these cars to be on display for whatever event was going on that day. The Hip-hop culture in Houston keeps the city afloat in a way. When you see Hip-hop artist like Bun B face in the Bush intercontinental airport than it's obvious the mark the impression and influence that culture has left on the city.

With that said cool little video but man do I hate the outdated sound of some of these older Houston rap artist. They were rapping about SLABS when I was in high school. BORING.

That's an incorrect definition of culture
Culture is a group of behavior and beliefs shared by a large number of people
