Can anyone tell me about the copperfield and surrounding neighborhoods? The homes I looked at were beautiful and in my budget. I searched the forum and reviews seemed to be split between yes it’s fine and no it’s on the downward slide. It’s zoned to Lanham creek high school which I see is not well regarded on here despite being a 7 on greatschools. The info I read on here was from 2016 so I’m wondering is anything has changed with the school for better or for worse. Thank you for any information you guys can give me.

I've seen several people who went UT Austin from this high school. Same score as Lamar High School, but how much you will have to pay in River Oaks to get into that school?

These days people just want to go with something trendy and prefer new construction. But Copperfield area is quite nice.
I think more depends on a particular house: technical condition, features, price. If the balance is right, go for it.

Not all homes in the Copperfield area are zoned to Langham. I think areas North of Longenbaugh and or WestRd are zoned to other Cy Fair schools. Copperfield area is a nice and well established and connects well with the newer communities such as Towne Lake, Miremesa and Bridgeland

The other school that serves the area is Cypress Falls. It’s a 6 on great schools so at least on the internet Langham creeks seems a better choice.

Copperfield is still a nice area, whoever says it’s on a downward spiral is an idiot. Copperfield is more clean compared to a lot of other places around Houston and property values are rising

Copperfield is a good choice in that budget and if close to work. The schools are fine.

Copperfield is fine, though obviously dealing with SH 6 is a pain (but so are a lot of other Houston area thoroughfares). There's no reason to chase the trendy crowd to the "Golden Three" Cy-Fair high schools with higher home prices and longer commutes. The upwardly mobile should support our middle suburbs, of which Copperfield is a great example!

Out of curiosity, which high schools are the golden three?
